This rare malt, aged for 25 years in Oloroso casks, takes The Glenlivet style to the limit with dark flavors and aromas over a viscous consistency. Concentrated by the magical angel’s share, this mature dram is memorable and quite rare, an old malt aged low and slow for an astoundingly profuse mouthfeel.
Sweet aromas of raisins and dried plums greet the nose, followed by a charming scent of chocolate ganache and warm brown spices. A very mature and evolved aroma of great complexity only achieved after a few decades in cask.
This very concentrated malt is rich and dense, full-bodied, and coating. Dried dark fruit flavors dominate the palate, letting a tasty roasted cacao, vanilla, and cinnamon shine through.

The Glenlivet Heritage 18 Year Old is far from having the depth of flavor you’ll find in the 25YO, but it still shows the aged side of The Glenlivet malts. A tad fresher and oriented to white fruit aromas, this is a milder way of exploring extended aging.
